spit, mixed with dirt – muddy words flow
Remember me?
I’m the one who
used to make you smile
At the thought of me,
your heart raced
Your skin craved my touch
The smell of me
made you throb with need
Hearing my voice had you
sighing and moaning in the same breath
How you read my words
with upturned lips
Or shivers of want
To satisfy and
be satisfied in equal parts
For me you lost sleep
You broke rules
You opened your heart
You wept and laughed and screamed
What happened?
Where did WE go?
I miss Us
I miss You
Maybe you could send a note
Let me know you still care
That all’s not lost
That I’m not alone
That I’m still welcome
within your walled up heart

... from a silent space
In all we go through, it is the not knowing that really leaves us longing. Knowing, one way or the other, allows us to choose a direction in which to start walking. Well-said!

The situation is sad but beautifully presented. Touched by this excellent writing.

Beautifully penned, I wish I had writen this before you did… But I probably couldn’t have found the right words. Bravo!

Hahaha! Well, you could write your own take on the same premise. It would be good to read from another’s perspective. But thank you for reading and commenting.

It would only be a pale version of your own post… I don’t handle English as well as you do 😉

Thanks, T! I wasn’t 100% on this one but I wanted it “out there”, you know, out of me and somewhere else.

This is superb. You are rapidly becoming my favourite Alaskan. You are the only Alaskan I know but that’s besides the point 😏

Hahaha! Well-played. We’re all a little strange, living here, I suppose. Thanks for reading, and the nice compliment, too. It’s so appreciated.

Waiting for someone you love is never easy. Especially when the one you’re waiting for isn’t aware that you are waiting. Another message from the heart poured onto paper. I liked this.

Thanks. I think he knows. It’s more that our lives were never meant to be entangled and it’s something I try to come to grips with.

There’s this and then there is what we would like it to be. Things that weren’t meant to be, something different is supposed to land in front of you so just look for the signs. You seem to have already come to grips with it.
