spit, mixed with dirt – muddy words flow
Passion ignited
Devotion captured
Heart dismissed
Doubts returned
Shadows lengthened
Light disappeared
Darkness descended
Head played
Promises abandoned
Trust deserted
Hope wavered
Affection discarded
Tears cascaded
Pleas ignored
Mind illuminated
Love defeated
Lesson learned

I was reluctant to click ‘Like’ on this one. It sounds like an awful something that you might have gone through, so what’s to like about that? Still, it was well-written, and that deserves a thumbs up. 🙂

Well thank you, Tony. Even if it WAS against your sensibilities.

Oh, what a most bitter teacher truth is, when it finally steps out into the light of reality.

Very raw emotional read, this made me sad (that meant it worked!) Concise yet devastating, very powerful piece!

Sadness produces much more art than happiness. Happiness is probably in the epiphany of understanding your prestige- which you obviously have a lot. So swing past the avenues and look at the bars since your flair is forever yours.
