In His Eyes

Sun blossoms in her hair
Remind him of summer gardens
And rippling crystalline creeks
Her lips need no false color
Her skin no extra adornment
In his eyes
She is naturally gorgeous

    • This isn’t about me, just wishful thinking, I suppose. Something I thought about while sitting at the beach with the setting sun shining in my hair.

  1. Beautifully written, Tara. I like the lovely imagery and the concision of this. Also, I like to think that women’s natural beauty without “extra adornment” and “false color” is still valued by some people, especially men when it comes to women-men relationships. I love authenticity and this is exactly what this beautiful poem of yours expresses.

  2. Immense in it’s simplicity. Like a tempting flower in it’s own right.
I like these ‘shots’ of poetry from you, powerful and intoxicating!
