Possessed

Violence
Darkness
Hard tug to the right
Voices
Whisper
Head down on the ground
Committed
Controlled
Say just what to say
Power
Ruthless
All came with a price
Favor
Discord
Push out all in mind
Muttering
Mumbling
Trace shapes in the sand
Obedience
Subservience
Tear out all my flesh
Scared
Crier
Weak beyond all doubt
Help
Harm
Can someone save me?

  1. I picture this spoken in a pulsing light.
‘Obedience, Subservience, Tear out all my flesh’ – states so familiar. A great contrition of words.

  2. Superbly voiced in the one word lines echoing the paralyzing effects of loneliness that cause sufferers to withdraw. The poignantly evoked poem leads irrevocably to its conclusion on a skillfully versed piece
