A Vision I Had

I see you on your knees,
as if in prayer or supplication,
you are nearly weeping
and there appears to be
a heavy burden
weighing on your shoulders and hands

now a cloud descends,
covers and engulfs you

and the mist from the cloud
coats your skin
and covers your beard like dew
and you drink from the mist of the cloud

it refreshes and invigorates you

color rises, you breathe in deeply
you smile a tiny smile and you feel lighter
and you stand up
and it’s almost as if you can fly,
you feel so light

and your face is glowing
and there! there!
you begin laughing
