Dreams and Little Secrets

your soft honeyed lips
whispered
little secrets
and sweet lies
my ears stretched
and strained
longing for more
my heart knew better
still I ached
musical lyrics or
lines of poetry
I listened
wishing each word
was true
I inclined myself to you
hoping
dreaming
one day lies
would become
truth
so press those lips
to my neck again
let me dream little secrets
in the dark
all alone
