spit, mixed with dirt – muddy words flow
awaken, dreamer
stretch and rise from your pillow
there are stars
held in the palm of your hand
glitter in the corner of your eye
glance and just miss
the rustle of wings
passing by
flutter-by, flutter-by, flit, flirt, sip and fly on by
the morning sun rises
fresh dew on the windowsill
I’m waiting here on the horizon
arms outstretched, beckoning
a bright and shining star
my rays of warmth
vibrations raising
rest upon all your upturned edges
ascend, let our fingertips touch
a meeting of minds
way, way up high

That was awesome!
This sounds like a great motivation piece, even to me (not a morning person). If I were in bed, I’d try to leap out.
“glitter in the corner of your eye” was my favorite line. Smart.

Yeahhh I’m not a morning person either, Goldie. I figured… maybe if I made it sound super wonderful, I might be coaxed from my pillow…

“Super wonderful” hahaha! I find sunrises in new places located by the water rather wonderful, other than that… it gets tough. LOL

Right! I like to ease into my mornings. And by “mornings” I actually mean “afternoons” lol since I’m a night owl.
