Spit mixed with dirt – Muddy words flow

I’d take a lick of your salt, but my wife would only hit me over the head with her reply!

We need to have a stronger understanding of the importance of how and where our food comes from. This is really neat. I could return to the box is needed.

Hey John. This is one reason I love living in Alaska. I just got done butchering a moose. Then I also have salmon and halibut stored away. I’m now back to making jams and jellies and syrups from the berries I’ve been picking. Then I’ll have a small harvest from the garden (hopefully before it freezes). Subsistence living is so easy here. Compared to other states, I should say. I can’t imagine having to always actually buy my meat and other things that I can grow and make myself.

I’ve always wanted to try moose! Anything close to the taste?

Maybe I’ll send some down when it’s winter (so it stays frozen longer). It’s a lean meat. Similar perhaps to deer or buffalo. Personally I like caribou and elk and deer better, but it’s better than beef. More flavor. If treated properly, it’s not very game-y.
