7 Days, 7 Photos – Day 5

Although my blog doesn’t include photos. I thought, what the hell, I’ll do this one (again).

No people. No explanations. Only black and white.

(Even though if I’m honest, which I am, I’ll happily answer questions.)

  1. This photo is incredibly beautiful. Love the mountains sticking out of the horizon. I’ve really enjoyed your series of photos so far – it really makes me wish I could live in Alaska.

    • Hey Kat. Thanks. The tall one there is actually a volcano: Mt. Illiamna. I have far too many photographs from the beach looking across the waves. Far too many lol.

  2. I like you photos, Tara. I live in Australia, which is one big scotching desert with a narrow band of green around the edge. It burns down to the ground about once every couple of years and then regenerates. And then massive floods come and wash everything away.
I like to see pictures from somewhere else, taken by someone else I kind of know. If only by word and though.
I’ve never been further North than Saskatoon. But I mean to go to Alaska afore I kick it.
    Thank you for photos.

    • I don’t know exactly what they are called but they are on either side of the mouth of the river, to help guide boats in to the harbor. They can only get in and out when it’s a fairly high tide. I’ve watched quite a few get stuck right there, trying to come in too soon. Fortunately we have some of the most extreme tides in the world, you can literally watch the water rise/fall, so they never have to wait long.
