Fascinating this. I have not witnessed this personally myself. But I would be so fascinated if I did.

Yeah. I hadn’t seen the frozen foam like that before, very cool! Also, very cold! Haha.

Magical stuff, especially after a winter of nothing like this at all in a place that normally resembles that to one degree or another.
People who say winter is drab and dull aren’t looking hard enough.

I completely agree. I try to enjoy each season for what it is… but I must say I enjoy winter the most. Everywhere I look… it’s gorgeous.

Well, it’s just ocean ice, nearest glacier is probably 100 miles away and across the inlet, but glaciers are beautiful as well.

Thanks Steven. I’m sorry to hear that, though. Guess it’s time for you to get outside and take more nature photos!!

Is it rational to have a phobia of falling into a slushy pond of ice? 🥶
Also I like the term pan-cake ice; thanks, i’ll use it 💛

I think it’s rational! Hypothermia doesn’t sound great to me 😄

These remind me of a freeze we had, after a flood, and there were great bouts of ice in among the forest, the orchards and the field.
We saw the full eclipse today. I wasn’t prepared to be so dumbfounded. Now I get it. It’s almost like seeing the eye of God.
