Oh thank heavens this trip is done. While the scenery is beautiful, sometimes breathtaking and sometimes terrifying, it’s a hard trip. On your body and on your mind.
As for me, I am, finally, home.

Thank you Bob! Indeed, I appreciate the unapologetic nature of the mountains.

I think you captured that part of our journey exquisitely.
All those days of driving have caught up with me and I’m already looking towards a recovery nap in a little bit… And I just woke up.

Thank you, Michael!
And yes, I’ve taken a couple naps (and a barefoot walk) myself.

Thank you! Had a couple hiccups, but overall smooth & easy. It was a lonely drive.

Wonderful words, and I’m glad your trip went well. Hope you took time to enjoy as well as drive!

It’s a beautiful drive. I wouldn’t say I “enjoyed” it, but I could still appreciate it. I spent a lot of time alone, in thought and contemplation.

Not necessarily a bad place to be. I’m hoping that you got a few photos to post!

You know, I really didn’t use my phone much at all and I didn’t pick up my real camera once. I did grab just a couple snaps, I’ll look and see if any have turned out.

And I get that; that sense of being absorbed by one’s surroundings and, in a sense, being able to free oneself from the trappings of technology. Simple pleasures.

Yes! Absolutely! I am finding myself more and more leaving it behind.
