One Moment

You know me. I don’t ever post photos (except that one time). But today was different. I’m feeling a lot better than I have been. I was able to get down to the beach again, after months of not being able to. The beach is my therapy. My happy place. It’s winter here. The wind was raging. The waves were gorgeous. The mountains and volcanoes across the Inlet generous. And peace flooded my soul. *sigh* Small moments that feel huge. Moments where time seems to stand still. Breathe in, breathe out. Moments that would be made perfect while holding One’s hand and staring out over creation together. But still…. It was a special place in time created in my own mind, just for me, for now. A created moment for me to go back and revisit in my memories during the dark times. One really good moment.

  2. Wow. You get both the water and the cold don’t you? The beaches here are extremely humid, and so, I stay away and go to the mountains when I’m moody. And that is one beautiful photo and a very well written piece.

    • Thank you! I think the winds were around 30-35mph today but it was actually pretty warm, in the high20s-mid30s (F*). What you can’t see is all the ice and snow on the beach because it was a fairly high tide while I was there and it was just too windy to walk out on it. The mountains are a couple hour drive away so to the beach for me! Very peaceful.

    • I do have a lovely view, don’t I? You can’t really tell, but those waves were pretty big for this beach. And the wind was just crazy. Yeah… It’s difficult to find an ugly place in this state, in my experience. Except maybe in the city, and even then…
