Raw Earth Ink is proud to present Rachael Ikins’ newest book, The Woman With Three Elbows.
Misdiagnosed for over a decade with multiple mental illnesses and prescribed dozens of pharmaceuticals, artist and author Rachael Ikins’ latest book delivers powerful prose, poetry, and art created directly from the clearing of her mind following that period in her life.
Thanks Matt. Every element on the cover is significant and meaningful. The woman, prescribed dozens of mind-altering pharmaceuticals for decades, had the choice to release them any time she wished. The story of Nestlé, the cat, is contained within the pages and saved her life on multiple occasions. It’s all really quite incredible that Rachael is as caring and wonderful of a soul as she is, after such a life of turmoil and heartache.
Beautiful words in a beautifully made book.
