A Living Canvas

look above, see
mercy & grace
overflowing
now, let go
be free
in the skin
you were given
you, who was
wonderfully created,
layer upon layer
a canvas, living, holy
each stroke of the brush
a lesson, perfection
in the making,
and you, waiting,
arms stretched
palms up
anointed, set apart
knowing
daily struggles become crowns

    • Yes! We’ve been friends in Instagram-land for years. He has Cerebral Palsy and is a mental & physical heath advocate. Just an all-around nice guy.

  1. This is wonderful affirmation, Tara, and something to be shouted out loud – we are all uniquely special and should feel comfortable in our own skins. Years ago we (and particularly women) were subjected to the ridiculous notion of ‘perfection’, and yet, it seems to me, rather than learning and progressing, the situation has actually become worse, with more singularisation and hatred.
Enough of that – this is wonderful!
